PRESS GALA ATHENS OCTOBER 18, 2016
The launch of the LifeArt Global Media Festival took place on Tuesday, 18th of October 2016, at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.
Many thanks to Ömer Faruk Tekbilek for the breathtaking live unplugged performance during the Press Gala! Accompanied by internationally renowned musicians, he performed, in first global presentation, his interpretations of Mikis Theodorakis' music!
The famous Greek actress Pemi Zouni, presented the "Michael Cacoyannis Humanitarian Award" dedicated to films that include both a human subject as well as provide an excellent Cinematic experience.
The director Ariel Vromen gave a speech for the aspiring filmmakers.
Special thanks to the internationally recognized photographer Giuliano Bekor, for his great artwork which was presented during the Press Gala.
"Michael Cacoyannis. Gazing at the Future" - Photo Exhibition presented for the first time, at the Press Gala. Unpublished photos of the director's moments during the shootings of his famous films, in combination with the most iconic scenes across his filmography.
